Nursing incharge

Job Summary:

The Nursing Incharge will oversee and manage nursing staff and patient care services within the assigned unit/ward. The role involves ensuring high standards of clinical care, supervising nursing operations, coordinating with doctors and administrative staff, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Supervise, guide, and support nursing staff in day-to-day operations.
• Ensure quality patient care, safety, and comfort in the assigned unit/ward.
• Prepare duty rosters, allocate staff, and manage leaves/attendance.
• Monitor nursing activities to ensure adherence to clinical protocols, SOPs, and hospital guidelines.
• Conduct training, mentoring, and performance evaluations of nursing staff.
• Coordinate with doctors, consultants, and other departments for smooth patient care.
• Maintain records related to patient care, staff performance, and department reports.
• Ensure adequate stock and availability of medicines, consumables, and equipment.
• Handle patient complaints, concerns, and grievances professionally.
• Implement infection control, safety, and hygiene practices.
• Report to the Nursing Superintendent/Head of Nursing regarding unit operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing.
• Minimum 5–8 years of clinical/nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or incharge role.
• Registration with State Nursing Council is mandatory.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of nursing protocols, hospital policies, and patient care standards.
• Ability to handle emergency situations and critical patient care.
• Organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹54,160.92 per month
