- Ongoing assessment is then established to keep the patient's condition take vital in the OPD.
Assessment helps the nurse and other hospital staff determines what plan of action to take in care of the patient.
Assessment also allows the OPD nurse to educate the patient and her family on what to expect in the days, weeks and months following the treatment.
Take feedback to the patient and their relative.
Directing patients for Investigation.
Assisting the doctors in patient examination and other general duties.
Guiding the patients to the medical officer in correct time for examination.
Helping the doctors and patients during the preliminary and last Medical examinations.
Communicating the patients about the disease and the purpose of the treatment.
Explaining the patients about the disease after doctor examination and directing them to the specific treatment they require.
Arranging the sterilized instruments and equipment in units.
Placing all the instruments and equipment needed for the patient examination at the doctor’s table.
Attending camps according to the work schedule.
Attending training sessions in up gradation of their knowledge of latest medical developments.
Resolving problems arising in the department.
Coordination with other departments for the good flow of works.
Coordinating with Medical Records department for OP statistics, follow up and other medical records related queries.
