Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Nursing Lecturer and Tutor to join our esteemed Nursing College. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education, mentoring nursing students, and ensuring academic excellence through innovative teaching methods and clinical guidance. You will play a pivotal role in preparing students to become competent, compassionate, and professional nurses.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Academic Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials for undergraduate and/or postgraduate nursing students.
- Prepare and update course materials, lesson plans, and assessments in line with the nursing curriculum and regulatory bodies (e.g., INC norms).
- Evaluate student progress through assignments, practicals, and exams; provide constructive feedback.
- Guide and supervise students during clinical postings, ensuring application of theoretical knowledge in practice.
- Promote evidence-based nursing practices and critical thinking in students.
Tutoring & Mentorship:
- Serve as a mentor to students, offering academic and personal support.
- Conduct one-on-one or small group tutorials to address individual learning needs.
- Encourage ethical behavior, professional conduct, and leadership in nursing students.
Clinical & Practical Training:
- Coordinate and supervise student clinical experiences in affiliated hospitals or healthcare settings.
- Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure meaningful clinical exposure.
- Demonstrate nursing procedures and support skill development in simulation labs.
Research & Development:
- Participate in curriculum review, research initiatives, and institutional development programs.
- Encourage student involvement in research projects, community outreach, and health education programs.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain student records, attendance, and internal assessment documentation.
- Assist in organizing academic events, workshops, health camps, and CNE programs.
- Contribute to institutional accreditations and inspections.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum Qualification: M.Sc. Nursing in any specialty from a recognized institution (Ph.D. preferred for Lecturer).
- Experience:
- Lecturer: Minimum 3 years of teaching/clinical experience.
- Tutor: B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum 1 year of clinical experience.
- Must be registered with the State Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and student development.
