Nursing Supervisor

• Completes patient care requirements by scheduling nurses’ shifts; assigning nurses to patients and ensuring nursing operational standards are met.
• Ensure the Nurse: Patient ratio is maintained based on the scope of unit / floor by considering patient condition and competency of the allocated staff.
• Maintain quality assurance of nursing documentation and Patient records
• Nurses' documentations including nurses' note, all assessments must cross verified and signed while on rounds.
• To ensure Mentor / mentor body system is following while allocating patient by the team leader / Charge Nurse.
• Ensure proper ISBAR record / Endorsement tool kit is followed while each handover by the allocated staff.
• Make sure the inter departmental transfer of patient is happening in a safe manner.
• Make sure all vulnerable patients are identified and the proper assessment / reassessment is done at periodic intervals.
• Make sure the patients who requires pain management are screened at the time of admission and reassessment is done in timely manner.
• Verify all patient required indents both drugs / medical consumables are done in a safe and secure manner
• Storage of medications to be cross checked for manufactures' recommendations
• Ensure the Crash cart is maintained with a uniform pattern of check list in all areas and the used items are replenished in a timely manner.
• Ensure all incident reports of near misses, medication errors & adverse events are routed to Quality department through proper channel for analysing RCA & CAPA.
• Make sure the correct protocol as defined is following by the staff while on verbal order.
• Make sure correct medication rights are following by the staff during medicine administration.
• Ensure all nursing personnel’s are adheres to standard precautions and hand hygiene guidelines while handling indicated patients.
• Supervise all nursing personnel’s are adheres to safe linen management practices
• Supervise all nursing personnel’s are adheres to cleaning, disinfection and sterilization practices.
• Supervise all nursing personnel’s are adheres to handling, storage and disposal of bio medical waste
• Supervise for Isolation (barrier and reverse barrier nursing) practices while on nursing care
• supervise for the implementation processes for sorting, labelling, handling, storage, transporting and disposal of hazardous materials by the nursing personnel
• Ensure all nursing personnel’s are aware of Nursing Quality Indicators and the data is forwarded to quality department at month end for data analysing study.
• Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staff to implement patient care.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods.
• Meet Every patients on daily basis and Ensure adherence to all relevant nursing standards
• Monitoring Quality Indicators and providing the information to the appropriate committee or personnel.
• Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
• Educate and train new nurses
• Evaluate nurse's performance and helps the Nursing Superintendent / Deputy Nursing superintendent
• Inform patients' family members about medical procedures and doctors’ instructions
• Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by monitoring confidential information processing.
• Maintains documentation of patient care services by auditing patient and department records.
• Ensure all the service entries done against patients
• Ensures operation of medical and administrative equipment by verifying emergency equipment availability; completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Provide clinical expertise in the management of all medical emergencies
• Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
• Maintains nursing supplies inventory by studying usage reports; identifying trends; anticipating needed supplies and requisitions.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
• Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
• Resolves patients’ needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
