JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Lead Nurse is responsible for overseeing nursing staff and ensuring high-quality patient care. This role involves managing nursing operations, providing clinical leadership, coordinating patient care, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and clinic policies. The Nurse Supervisor will work closely with healthcare providers and support staff to enhance patient outcomes and promote a positive work environment for nursing staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervision and Leadership:

· Oversee daily nursing operations, ensuring the efficient delivery of care and compliance with clinical protocols and standards.

· Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, providing guidance and support for professional development and performance improvement.

· Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss patient care issues, updates, and team collaboration.

Patient Care Coordination:

· Ensure that nursing staff deliver high-quality care to patients, adhering to best practices and clinical guidelines.

· Coordinate patient assessments, care plans, and follow-up care, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication with healthcare providers.

· Address patient concerns and complaints promptly, ensuring a positive patient experience.

Staff Management:

· Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of nursing staff, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet patient needs.

· Develop and implement nursing schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and coverage.

· Monitor staff performance, providing constructive feedback and conducting performance evaluations.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

· Monitor and evaluate nursing practices to ensure compliance with local healthcare regulations and clinic policies.

· Implement quality improvement initiatives and participate in performance improvement projects to enhance patient care and clinic operations.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care, staff activities, and quality assurance processes.

Collaboration and Communication:

· Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and administrative staff to optimize patient care and clinic operations.

· Facilitate effective communication between nursing staff and other departments, promoting teamwork and a collaborative approach to patient care.

Education and Training:

· Provide ongoing education and training for nursing staff on clinical procedures, policies, and best practices.

· Stay informed about the latest developments in nursing practice and healthcare regulations, sharing knowledge with the nursing team.

Health and Safety:

· Ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff, adhering to infection control protocols and occupational safety standards.

· Conduct regular assessments of the clinic’s health and safety practices, identifying areas for improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) is required.

· 5+ years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in an outpatient clinic or similar healthcare setting.

· Valid UAE DHA Nursing License.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

· Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of nursing best practices and patient care standards.

· Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support nursing staff.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

· Proficient in healthcare management software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED12,000.00 - AED14,000.00 per month

License/Certification:

  • UAE DHA license as a Registered Nurse (Required)
