Kauvery Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Supervisor for our Emergency Department, a pivotal role that ensures the highest standards of patient care within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This position is ideal for a skilled nurse who possesses extensive knowledge of emergency medical practices and strong leadership capabilities. The Nursing Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the Emergency Department, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to patients in critical situations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee nursing staff in the Emergency Department to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for emergency nursing practices.
  • Manage daily operations including staff scheduling and patient flow.
  • Conduct regular training and performance evaluations for nursing personnel.
  • Monitor patient care activities to ensure compliance with hospital standards.
  • Serve as a point of contact for communication between nursing staff, physicians, and hospital administration.
  • Address patient and family inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Current state nursing license and BLS/ACLS certification are mandatory.
  • Minimum of 11 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in emergency care.
  • Proven leadership experience in a similar healthcare setting is essential.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills are required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and education in emergency nursing.
  • Planning, directing and evaluating activities of the nursing department and align with Kauvery Hospitals service excellence standards.
  • Contribute for development and implementation of policy, protocol and standards for safe and quality patient care.
  • Provide direction and support for organizational development projects/ transformational projects/ quality initiatives.
  • Formulate, implement and evaluate a nursing performance management program.
  • Spearhead the performance evaluation both ongoing and for succession planning within the nursing directorate.
  • Encourage a collaborative model of patient care by providing opportunity for nursing personnel to plan with the medical staff and other disciplines for the total needs of patients.
  • Ensure high level patient satisfaction and work satisfaction of nurses.
  • Maintain current knowledge of international trends in nursing care delivery and incorporate this knowledge into daily operation of the department of nursing.
  • Develop a continuous quality management plan for nursing.
  • Be a part of steering committee to succeed for NABH Accreditation.
  • Improve patient care through testing evidence, generate new knowledge through research and research driven audits
  • Build an error prevention and ethical culture.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
