Tara Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician!

Compensation

- $27–$30 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

- Current New York State Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) license.
- Excellent communication and client education skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians and support staff.
- Dependable, organized, and motivated.
- Comfortable working in a busy practice and assisting with local rescue organizations.
- Pre-employment drug screening is required.

Responsibilities

- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
- Perform nursing and technical skills with a high standard of patient care.
- Educate and communicate with clients regarding treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
- Monitor anesthesia and hospitalized patients.
- Collect laboratory samples and perform diagnostic testing.
- Work closely with our rescue partners to provide exceptional care for animals in need.
- Contribute to a positive, supportive team environment.
