Veterinary Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and possess the skills necessary to assist veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to a variety of animals. This role requires proficiency in veterinary terminology, animal handling, and the ability to perform various clinical procedures. The Veterinary Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our patients while supporting pet owners through their veterinary experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
• Perform animal handling and restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both animals and staff.
• Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Conduct routine laboratory tests and prepare samples for analysis.
• Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures and provide post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
• Educate pet owners on proper animal husbandry, health care, and nutrition.
• Manage kennel operations, including cleaning
• Utilize veterinary terminology effectively in communication with team members and clients.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in animal handling, restraint, and catheterization techniques.
• Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures is essential.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare.
• Prior experience in veterinary settings or related fields
