Observability Solution Consultant

About the role:

A billable consultant responsible for developing and delivering high-quality communication solutions that address client business needs. The role involves gathering and analyzing requirements, designing and validating solutions, and ensuring successful delivery. Acting as a client advocate, the consultant owns the technical solution—including architecture, delivery planning, and representation—and supports client-facing activities such as presentations and negotiations in partnership with the account team.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities :

As a billable consultant, you will work independently and collaboratively with regional teams to:

• Take ownership or provide support in creating deliverables such as Low-Level Designs, Acceptance Test Plans, and migration scenarios.Develop project consulting blueprints and boilerplates.
• Engage directly with clients to gather technical requirements and ensure accurate solution design, order validation, and project delivery.
• Support complex solution migrations (on-site or remote) as required.
• Deliver billable consulting services to partners and end-customers, supporting business growth and contract progression.
• Act as a pre-sales consultant when required to support organic growth initiatives.
• Consistently deliver high-quality technical services, maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Stay current with industry advancements relevant to Orange’s services portfolio.
• Be recognized internally and externally as a subject matter expert on Orange products and services.
• Maintain and develop technical certifications to align with service evolution and personal growth.
• Contribute to knowledge management by documenting assignments, authoring case studies, white papers, or solution presentations.
• Participate in projects within defined cost, quality, and time constraints.
• Provide consulting assessments for new and existing customers.
• Own the technical solution from concept through to implementation.
• Present solutions formally and informally to partners and end-customers.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Candidate profile:

An experienced consultant with a strong background in telecommunications, networking, and observability platforms. The candidate combines technical expertise in Splunk, LiveAction, and ThousandEyes with strong analytical, problem-solving, and client-facing skills. Demonstrates the ability to deliver high-quality consulting services, support complex environments, and act as a trusted advisor to clients.

Skills & Qualifications:

Education & Experience

• BSc in Telecommunications or equivalent.
• 8+ years of professional experience, including 1–3 years in a consulting role.
• Strong technical problem-solving ability with the capacity to learn quickly.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Networking & Infrastructure

• Expertise in LAN/WAN technologies: routing, switching, VLANs, policy-based routing, spanning tree, WCCP, WAN optimization.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, packet flows, and session establishment.
• Hands-on experience with QoS, NetFlow, firewalls, RAID, and MPLS/SD-WAN.
• Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or higher in progress).
• Virtualization with VMware; storage protocols including iSCSI and FCIP.
• Skilled in packet capture and analysis (Wireshark, Sniffer).
