1. Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Odoo Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, implementing, and maintaining modules within the Odoo ERP system to meet our organization's unique business requirements. This role requires proficiency in Python and a deep understanding of the Odoo architecture.

2. Responsibilities

• Custom Module Development: Design, develop, and implement new Odoo modules from scratch based on functional specifications.
• Customization: Customize existing Odoo modules to meet specific client or business needs, including views, forms, and workflows.
• Integration: Integrate Odoo with third-party applications, APIs, and external systems (e.g., payment gateways, shipping carriers).
• Technical Consultation: Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, and end-users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Database Management: Work with PostgreSQL to optimize database queries, ensure data integrity, and manage data migration.
• Maintenance & Support: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and performance issues related to Odoo modules and the overall system.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for developed features, customizations, and code changes.
• Code Quality: Ensure code quality, stability, and maintainability by participating in code reviews and adhering to Odoo development best practices.
• Upgrades: Assist with and perform Odoo version upgrades and data migration as needed.

3. Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills (Must-Haves)

• Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Python and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Odoo Expertise: Solid understanding of the Odoo framework, architecture, and ORM (Object-Relational Mapping).
• Database: Experience with PostgreSQL and the ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries.
• Web Technologies: Proficiency in front-end technologies used in Odoo development: HTML, CSS, XML, and JavaScript.
• Version Control: Experience using Git or other version control systems.
• Debugging: Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills within the Odoo environment.

Preferred/Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience with other ERP systems or business applications.
• Knowledge of Odoo's front-end framework (Odoo Web / OWL).
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) or Docker/Kubernetes.
• Odoo Certification (e.g., Functional or Technical).

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Odoo (formerly OpenERP) development and customization.

4. Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed or cross-functional team.
• Proactive attitude and a willingness to learn new Odoo features and modules (e.g., CRM, Sales, Inventory, Accounting).
