About Victory Theatre Center

Victory Theatre Center (VTC) is an award-winning nonprofit theatre in Burbank dedicated to developing and producing new works and world premieres. For over four decades, VTC has served as a creative home for artists and audiences, championing bold storytelling and the growth of original plays.

Founded and led by Maria Gobetti, VTC has built a reputation for nurturing playwrights, actors, and directors while fostering an intimate, collaborative environment for theatrical exploration. The theatre operates two performance spaces—The Big Victory Theatre and The Little Victory Theatre—and regularly hosts workshops, readings, and special events that support the development of new work.

As a small but active nonprofit arts organization, VTC operates with a lean team and a passionate community of artists, volunteers, and supporters. Located in the heart of the Burbank/North Hollywood theatre district, the organization is part of a vibrant network dedicated to creating and sustaining new work in Los Angeles.

Position Summary

Victory Theatre Center is seeking a part-time Office Administrator to support the day-to-day administrative operations of the theatre. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in nonprofit arts administration, including office management, rental coordination, and production-related support.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a small team environment.

Compensation: $20/hour

Schedule: Part-time, Monday–Thursday, 11:00 AM–5:00 PM

Location: On-site in Burbank (not remote or hybrid)

Occasional evening or weekend availability may be requested during productions or special events.

Primary Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Monitor and respond to general theatre email inquiries
  • Draft administrative correspondence
  • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
  • Assist with invoicing and basic bookkeeping
  • Pay utility bills and maintain vendor records
  • Manage office supplies and materials

Rentals Coordination

  • Respond to rental inquiries and maintain tracking systems
  • Assist with facility tours for prospective renters
  • Prepare rental agreements and related documents
  • Support communication with rental clients

Theatre Operations Support

  • Help maintain clean and organized theatre spaces
  • Assist with website updates for current productions
  • Support archiving of production materials and press
  • Help coordinate volunteers and ushers during productions

Marketing & Communications Support

  • Assist with email newsletters and mailing lists
  • Support social media coordination with the Social Media Manager

Systems & Tools

Familiarity with—or willingness to learn—the following:

  • Microsoft Office

  • QuickBooks
  • Constant Contact
  • Basic website CMS tools
  • Canva
  • Instagram and Facebook

Qualifications

  • Previous administrative or office experience preferred
  • Interest in theatre, arts administration, or nonprofit work
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
  • Demonstrates initiative, sound judgment, and reliability
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Respect for the theatre as a collaborative creative space
