Alexander, DeGance & Barnett, P.A. is a fast-paced employment law firm seeking an enthusiastic Office Assistant to join our team! The Office Assistant makes a friendly first impression at our law firm while performing clerical duties to support ADB’s level of excellence and ensures smooth day-to-day office functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the receptionist for the office, greeting visitors and applicants.
  • Answers phones, directs calls to appropriate individuals, and prepares messages.
  • Opens the office at 8am and closes the office at 5pm
  • Operates office machines including copiers, scanners, phone and voicemail systems, and other standard office equipment such as postage meter.
  • Typing engagement letters, electronic filing, and completion of simple forms.
  • Copies, sorts, and files records related to office activities, business transactions, and other matters.
  • Maintains breakroom from ordering supplies, stocking, overseeing cleanliness.
  • Prepares conference room for client visits, depositions, gatherings and start A/V equipment.
  • Sorts incoming mail and delivers to appropriate individual, processes outgoing mail including FedEx.
  • Manages calendars and schedules appointments.
  • Orders and picks up lunches at least once a month and delivers documents to courthouse, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
