Old World Village in Huntington Beach is home to the GermanDeli.com, Biergarten, and a year-round lineup of European festivals and events. We’re a family-run business with deep roots in the community — and we’re looking for someone who’s as organized, creative, and dependable as they are fun to work with.

Position Overview

We’re hiring a full-time Office Assistant who can do more than typical clerical work. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a lively environment, enjoys creative projects, and takes pride in getting the job done. You’ll handle both administrative and marketing tasks that support our growing business and exciting festival calendar.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily office and clerical support (phones, emails, filing, data entry, scheduling, etc.)
  • Assist with marketing projects and social media content creation
  • Design flyers, signs, and promotional materials using Canva
  • Help manage digital files and forms in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar)
  • Update event listings, business information, and online postings
  • Coordinate with staff and vendors to support festivals and special events
  • Stay organized, follow up on tasks, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of office/clerical experience
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and Canva
  • Tech-savvy, resourceful, and a quick self-learner
  • Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

Preferred Skills (a Plus!)

  • Experience with social media management
  • Basic understanding of marketing or event coordination
  • Interest in European food, festivals, or culture
