Office Assistant/Accounting Clerk

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Office Assistant/Accounting Clerk to join our team! This vital role combines administrative support with basic accounting responsibilities, ensuring smooth office operations and accurate financial record-keeping. Manage office tasks efficiently, and support bookkeeping activities. Responsibilities include processing invoices, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, perform data entry, weekly payroll, knowledgeable in certified payroll and providing general support.

Duties

  • Greet visitors and answer multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy, providing exceptional customer service
  • Perform data entry using QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other computer software to update financial records and office documents
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks such as invoicing, billing, and basic account reconciliation
  • Assist with preparing basic financial reports and supporting documentation
  • Perform daily bookkeeping task, including data entry, posting transactions, and maintaining accurate records in the accounting system.
  • Process invoices in QuickBooks (A/R & A/P)
  • Enter and update payments accurately in Quick Books
  • Follow up and chase overdue customers payments professionally
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice entry,payment processing, and basic follow-up on outstanding balances.
  • Review and organize financial documents such as purchase orders, invoices, bills and internal forms.
  • Organize files, maintain accurate filing systems, and ensure all documents are properly stored and easily accessible
  • Proofread correspondence, reports, and documents to ensure accuracy and clarity Qualifications
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Workspace, and general computer literacy
  • Provide general administrative support, including filing, scanning, answering phone call, responding to emails, and assisting with office coordination
  • Perform other clerical and administrative duties assigned
  • Perform general office duties.

Pay: $29.00 per hour
