Office Civil Technical Engineer

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

We are looking for a Office Civil Technical Engineer who will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and coordinating technical drawings and documents for civil and landscape projects. The role is office-based and focuses on supporting site teams with design, documentation, and technical clarifications to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and modify civil engineering design drawings and technical documents.
  • Interpret and apply project specifications, engineering standards, and codes of practice.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Provide technical support for project planning, tendering, and execution.
  • Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
  • Assist in preparing BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost estimates, and tender documents.
  • Monitor project progress and provide technical reports to management.
  • Support problem-solving for design or construction issues.
  • Maintain records, documentation, and technical data for projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Professional certification (e.g., Engineer’s License, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering (office and/or site-based).
  • Experience with design review, technical documentation, and project coordination.
  • Knowledge of local and international standards (e.g., BS, ASTM, ACI, IS codes).
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and other civil design software.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Project).
  • Good understanding of structural and architectural coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing ability.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
