We are looking for a Office Civil Technical Engineer who will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and coordinating technical drawings and documents for civil and landscape projects. The role is office-based and focuses on supporting site teams with design, documentation, and technical clarifications to ensure smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and modify civil engineering design drawings and technical documents.
- Interpret and apply project specifications, engineering standards, and codes of practice.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
- Provide technical support for project planning, tendering, and execution.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Assist in preparing BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost estimates, and tender documents.
- Monitor project progress and provide technical reports to management.
- Support problem-solving for design or construction issues.
- Maintain records, documentation, and technical data for projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
- Professional certification (e.g., Engineer’s License, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering (office and/or site-based).
- Experience with design review, technical documentation, and project coordination.
- Knowledge of local and international standards (e.g., BS, ASTM, ACI, IS codes).
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and other civil design software.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Project).
- Good understanding of structural and architectural coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and technical writing ability.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
