Senior Mechanical Engineer- HVAC & PLUMBING

Overview of the role: The primary focus of the role will be to provide professional and technically sound installation, retrofit, infrastructure and maintenance for all HVAC & Plumbing systems.

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional and technically sound installation, modification and commissioning for all HVAC & Plumbing systems, equipment and fittings.
• Drawing & Design review, BOQ preparation, Material submittal, Raising RFI, MSRA preparation.
• Attend site visits at client’s property, issues study and technical problems, observe client requirements to determine the solution and execution plan
• Job allocations, job execution, monitoring and continuous performance assessment.
• Vendor development for local procurement.
• Provide adequate support to the installation team at site, to estimate installation costs, assists in the procuring of orders for the company which maximizes sales and gross margin.
• Constantly collect competitors’ information to negotiate with Principals for better price and marketing support.
• Submit technical data and drawings to authorities, building engineering department for getting approval certificate to enable participation in government tenders.
• Ensure standards in all type of HVAC & Plumbing installations like Chillers, DX unit, FCU, AHU, FAHU, Ecology units, pipe freezing work, Refrigerant Copper piping, CHW piping & Insulation, Valves, GI/PI Duct, Smoke Ventilation Duct (Fire rated), Insulation work, Fire Damper and Motorized Smoke Fire Dampers, all kind of pipes, valves, controls, pumps, water technology, sanitary fittings etc….
• Follow DM/DCD regulation for the HVAC & Plumbing installation to get approval from concerned authorities.
• Receive work progress report by weekly and monthly basis according to the project from project engineers and the same submitted to the Project Manager.
• Plan & Monitor manpower distribution daily to respective engineers according to the works/target need to complete the job.
• Train project engineers
• Solution finding, Document, schedule and cost controlling.

Required Skills:

• Customer management and communication skills.
• HVAC load calculation for residential, commercial, warehouses, industries etc.,
• Knowledge and experience in installation, modification, retrofit and maintenance in HVAC systems such as chilled water systems, DX system, FCU, AHU, FAHU, Ecology units, pipe freezing work, Refrigerant Copper piping, CHW piping & Insulation, Valves, GI/PI Duct, Smoke Ventilation Duct (Fire rated), Insulation work, Fire Damper and Motorized Smoke Fire Dampers. Water cooling systems, kitchen exhaust system, flushing, all kind of pipe, valves, controls, pumps, sanitary fittings etc
• Data and report management
• Supervisory experience.
