OFFICE MANAGER

Full-Time | Hybrid | Small Business

About the Role

We are a growing small business looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Office Manager to keep our operations running smoothly. This is a hands-on role at the center of our day-to-day business — you will own administrative functions, manage payroll, and be the go-to person for keeping our office organized and our team supported.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll & Bookkeeping

  • Process weekly payroll accurately and on time using QuickBooks
  • Maintain employee payroll records, tax withholdings, and direct deposit information
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with month-end close
  • Prepare and file payroll tax reports (941, 940, W-2s, 1099s) in coordination with our accountant
  • Track PTO, sick leave, and other time-off balances

Office Administration

  • Manage day-to-day office operations including supplies, vendors, and facilities
  • Respond to emails and serve as the first point of contact for employee questions.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for HR, financial, and operational records
  • Onboard new employees — paperwork and direct deposit setup.

Accounts Payable / Receivable Support

  • Enter vendor invoices and process payments using QuickBooks
  • Update weekly cash management system (CMS)
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of office management, administrative, or bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) — payroll processing is required
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace (Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets, Outlook/Gmail)
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a small business environment (under 50 employees)

Compensation & Benefits

  • $30 to $40 per hour based on experience
  • 401k, Dental, PTO, Holiday Pay/’

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
