Office Manager / Bookkeeper

Bookkeeper (Part-Time, In-Person)

About Us:
Babinec Sheet Metal is a family-owned and operated business seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. We are looking for someone who values accuracy, organization, and consistency, and who can manage day-to-day financial operations in a hands-on, in-office environment.

Position Overview:
This is a Part-time, in-person position responsible for managing the company’s bookkeeping, payroll, and general accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with QuickBooks and Intuit payroll systems and be comfortable handling a variety of financial and administrative responsibilities.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
(In-person position)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and financial recordkeeping
  • Process payroll and maintain payroll records using QuickBooks/Intuit
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and send invoices; track incoming payments
  • Monitor and track company expenses
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records
  • Assist with basic human resources functions, including employee records and benefits administration
  • Handling weekly investments for 401K plan
  • Filing with EFTPS for 401K participants who opt out
  • Generate financial reports as needed for ownership
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all financial matters

Qualifications:

  • Required: Experience with QuickBooks and/or Intuit payroll systems
  • Minimum 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of payroll processing and recordkeeping
  • Experience with invoicing, expense tracking, and reconciliations
  • Familiarity with basic HR functions is a plus
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Support day-to-day office operations, including procurement of office supplies and coordination of periodic staff events and holiday gatherings.
  • Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information

Compensation:
Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
