Job Purpose

To manage and supervise all mess and cafeteria operations, ensuring hygiene, food quality, cost control, and smooth daily functioning in accordance with company policies and safety standards.

2. Key Responsibilities

2.1 Mess Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations of mess/cafeteria services.
  • Ensure timely preparation and serving of meals (breakfast, lunch, tea).
  • Monitor vendor performance (if outsourced).
  • Ensure availability of food items as per approved menu.

2.2 Hygiene & Food Safety

  • Ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of kitchen, utensils, and serving areas.
  • Ensure proper storage of food, milk, and raw materials.
  • Maintain pest control and waste disposal standards.

2.3 Inventory & Cost Control

  • Manage inventory of food items and kitchen supplies.
  • Control wastage and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
  • Verify bills, invoices, and consumption reports.
  • Maintain stock registers and daily consumption records.

2.4 Vendor & Staff Coordination

  • Coordinate with food vendors and suppliers.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, helpers, and tea boys.
  • Ensure proper duty rosters and attendance of mess staff.
  • Handle vendor complaints and service issues.

2.5 Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Maintain inspection reports and hygiene checklists.
  • Report any non-compliance and take corrective actions.
  • Prepare monthly reports on mess expenses and performance.

2.6 Employee Satisfaction

  • Monitor employee feedback regarding food quality and service.
  • Implement improvements based on feedback.
  • Ensure discipline and proper behavior of mess staff.

4. Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (Administration / Hospitality preferred)
  • Experience: 2–5 years in mess, cafeteria, or facility management
  • Industry Preference: Manufacturing / Textile sector

5. Required Skills

  • Strong supervision and coordination skills
  • Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards

  • Communication and problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Rs59,000.00 per month
