Senior Director, Enrollment & Applicant Experience
Purpose:
The job holder serves as a key liaison between The American University in Cairo (AUC) and prospective students, their families, and the public. This role is responsible for handling all front-facing inquiries while also playing an active role in student recruitment and outreach efforts both locally and internationally
Responsibilities:

Applicant & Student Interaction:
Serve as the first point of contact at the Student Service Center (SSC) for walk-in visitors, email correspondences, and inbound phone calls. Provide timely, accurate, and comprehensive information regarding AUC programs, admission requirements, student services, and campus life. Receive and process student requests, applications, documents related to the enrollment process. Maintain professional and empathetic communication with diverse audiences, ensuring a positive and supportive applicant experience

Recruitment & Outreach Activities:
Represent AUC at local and international student recruitment events (undergraduate and graduate levels)

School Visits:
Organize and conduct visits to high schools, both locally and internationally. Engage with students and counselors to promote AUC, explain admission requirements, and answer questions. Collaborate with the Admissions Office and other departments to align recruitment messaging and ensure consistency

Campus Visits & Engagement:
Coordinate individual and school visits to AUC for prospective students and their families, which includes giving presentations and information sessions and providing detailed information about the AUC enrollment process

Data Management & Reporting
: Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily records of SSC activities and inquiries. Participate in compiling statistics and generating reports related to visitor interactions and email responses and document management to support data-driven decision-making

Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field;

Master’s preferred
Experience:
-
8–10 years of progressive experience in enrollment services, including extensive recruitment and applicant engagement work

Proven ability to lead applicant experience initiatives and represent the institution in international forums
Skills:

Recruitment & Representation:
Expertise in organizing and leading national and international recruitment campaigns

Advanced presentation and communication skills to engage diverse audiences

Data & Systems Management:
Strong command of CRM and application systems for data management and analysis

Customer Service Excellence:
Ability to design and maintain service standards that ensure a positive applicant journey

Operational Coordination:
Skill in managing outreach logistics, documentation, and event execution

Team & Training:
Ability to train and mentor students
