officer - Business Development

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Job Purpose:
To identify, develop, and maintain new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, and contribute to revenue growth through proactive sales and marketing activities, while effectively communicating in both [Language 1] and [Language 2].

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue business opportunities through research, networking, exhibitions, and client visits to achieve monthly sales targets.
  • Handle inquiries from freight forwarders, prepare accurate quotes, and convert them into confirmed orders.
  • Maintain market awareness, monitor competitor activity, and adjust strategies to meet evolving customer needs.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to meet customer requirements and resolve payment or account issues.
  • Enhance brand awareness through targeted business development initiatives.
  • Prepare and present sales performance reports to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business growth and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in business development, preferably within logistics, shipping, or freight forwarding.
  • Bilingual proficiency in [Arabic & English] (spoken and written) is mandatory.
  • Strong networking, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer relationship management skills.
