Officer - Capital Purchase

Job Summary

Responsible for managing Capex procurement, driving cost optimization, developing vendors, and ensuring timely execution of orders. Supports internal customers and ensures high-quality sourcing aligned with SOPs and organizational standards.


  • Drive cost savings through effective, data-driven negotiations.
  • Conduct benchmarking, value engineering, and cost modelling for major Capex items.
  • Identify and introduce new technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce lifecycle costs.
  • Ensure procurement activities are completed within defined SOP timelines.
  • Maintain high compliance levels in order processing and project execution.
  • Develop new vendors and conduct periodic vendor performance evaluations.
  • Ensure strong delivery adherence across all purchase orders.
  • Maintain regular updates of pending requisition reports and savings tracking.
  • Provide timely support to internal customers and ensure high satisfaction levels.


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Expertise in Capex and project procurement
  • Vendor development and evaluation
  • Value engineering and cost modelling
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Familiarity with ERP or SAP systems is preferred

Qualification

  • Graduate or Engineering degree; MBA preferred
  • Experience in Capex or project procurement, preferably in industrial or manufacturing sectors
