Why We Need You

To grow the Museum's Individual Giving program, we need a relationship-builder who is comfortable managing and executing on elements of a robust giving program. You will strengthen donor engagement across a portfolio of supporters, aligning their interests with the Museum's mission and priorities. Your work will deepen relationships, inspire philanthropy, and build lasting connections that sustain the Museum for generations to come.

What You'll Accomplish

  • Frontline Fundraising: Manage a portfolio of donors and board members with giving capacity of $5K–$100K+, focusing on unrestricted gifts; achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Execute Giving Society Programs: Lead the end-to-end execution of Giving Societies for donors $5K+, ensuring programs are well-marketed, benefits are delivered thoughtfully, and processes are efficient and scalable.
  • Donor Acquisition & Pipeline Growth: Strategically partner with Membership and Marketing to identify and cultivate new donors; implement acquisition strategies, touchpoints, and campaigns to grow Giving Society membership and the broader Individual Giving program.
  • Program Improvement & Operational Excellence: Identify opportunities to improve communications, donor engagement processes, and Giving Society programs; implement scalable and sustainable systems.

What We're Looking For (Competencies & Experience)

  • A Strong Frontline Fundraiser and Relationship Builder: Success managing midto high-level donor portfolios ($5K–$100K+), including solicitation and stewardship.
  • Programmatic Thinking: Experience executing and improving donor programs that balance strategy, engagement, and operational execution.
  • Strategic & Operational Mindset: Able to translate big-picture goals into actionable programs and campaigns; detail-oriented and process-driven.
  • Collaboration & Influence: Skilled at working across teams to drive alignment and results.
  • Creative & Builder Mindset: Thrives on building new processes, improving donor engagement, and creating scalable programs.
  • Mission-Driven: Deeply passionate about the Museum of Science and its mission to help the world love and trust science, with a desire to make a measurable impact through philanthropy.
