Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Officer Production for our manufacturing facility. The role is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring adherence to production plans, quality standards, food safety requirements, and efficient utilization of manpower and resources. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in food or confectionery manufacturing and the ability to manage shop-floor operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production operations for sweets manufacturing, ensuring production plans, batch sizes, and schedules are met as per demand / Production Plan
- Plan and allocate manpower, machines, and materials efficiently to achieve planned output with minimum wastage and optimal productivity.
- Monitor production processes to ensure strict adherence to approved recipes, formulations, specifications, portion control, and quality parameters.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety standards including GMP, HACCP, and company SOPs.
- Coordinate closely with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Stores, and Dispatch to ensure uninterrupted production flow and timely resolution of issues.
- Monitor raw material consumption, yield, rework, wastage, and variances; investigate root causes and report corrective actions to management.
- Ensure proper operation of production equipment, ovens, mixers, and utensils; perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate preventive maintenance.
- Maintain accurate production documentation including batch records, shift reports, attendance, temperature logs, cleaning records, and daily output summaries.
- Enforce discipline, safety protocols, hygiene practices, and SOP compliance among all production staff and helpers.
- Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives related to productivity enhancement, process optimization, cost control, and waste reduction.
- Train, coach, and evaluate production staff on work methods, food safety, hygiene standards, safety practices, and performance expectations.
- Assist in internal audits, external inspections, and regulatory compliance related to food manufacturing and labor requirements.
- Ensure effective shift handover by communicating production status, pending orders, quality issues, and equipment conditions.
- Coordinate with planning or sales teams to prioritize urgent orders, seasonal products, and peak demand requirements.
- Monitor housekeeping, pest control coordination, and cleanliness of production areas to maintain audit-ready conditions at all times.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, working hours, and company policies related to production staff.
- Lead all production orders are accurately created, managed, and executed through the ERP system, maintaining data integrity and process efficiency.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by management to support departmental objectives and overall business goals.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory experience in food or sweets/confectionery manufacturing
- Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards
- Experience managing shop-floor teams, shifts, and production documentation
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per month
