Role Overview


The Offshore Sales Specialist will be responsible for providing timely and effective technical and commercial support to offshore customers across multiple regions and markets. This includes preparing quotations, processing orders, coordinating shipments, and resolving customer inquiries through various communication channels. The role also involves actively seeking new business opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction, business growth, and alignment with Mantrac’s service excellence standards.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide accurate technical and commercial quotations through phone, email, and other channels.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues promptly, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Influence and promote customer loyalty by delivering exceptional service and support.
  • Actively identify and engage new offshore customers to expand Mantrac’s customer base.
  • Understand offshore customer needs and provide tailored solutions to fulfill their requirements.
  • Suggest additional product purchases when applicable and provide leads to other teams (e.g., PSSRs, service shops).
  • Process customer orders and invoices and follow up on shipments.
  • Work closely with Caterpillar and other vendor systems to locate required parts for Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar machines.
  • Ensure effective and timely handling of offshore business, including support during Egypt’s official holidays on a rotational basis.
  • Develop and maintain effective parts department processes to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Share best practices and contribute to the implementation of common departmental processes.
  • Maintain accurate records, organized workspaces, and detailed notes for easy access to customer information.
  • Support the Group Sales Services Supervisor on projects as needed.


Requirements


  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in sales support, technical support, spare parts sales, or a customer service-related role.
  • Strong knowledge of Caterpillar products and parts systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse customers across regions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or parts management systems is a plus.
  • Fluent in English
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including rotation during Egypt’s public holidays, to support offshore customers.
