Job Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities in the oil and gas sector. The role focuses on building client relationships, driving revenue growth, leading tenders and proposals, and supporting strategic expansion across EPC, contracting, refinery, petrochemical, and energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company growth targets.
- Identify new opportunities in oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, LNG, and related industrial sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, EPC contractors, government entities, and key stakeholders.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and opportunity screening to support pipeline growth.
- Lead bid preparation, tendering, proposal submissions, and contract negotiations.
- Work with technical, operations, and finance teams to develop commercial solutions and pricing.
- Track sales performance, manage forecasts, and report progress to senior management.
- Represent the company at meetings, conferences, networking events, and industry functions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- Strong background in oil and gas business development, EPC, contracting, or industrial services.
- Proven experience in proposal development, tender management, and client acquisition.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple opportunities at once.
Preferred Experience
- 5–10+ years of business development experience in oil and gas or related sectors.
- Experience with refinery, petrochemical, LNG, or industrial construction projects.
- Middle East or Qatar market experience is often preferred.
- Familiarity with long sales cycles, strategic accounts, and high-value contract deals.
