Online English Teacher (K-12th)

About the Position:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Online English Instructor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will teach English classes to K-6th grade students in both group and one-on-one settings during 6:00-8:00 a.m. EST/ 3:00-5:00 a.m. PST. This position requires teaching English and phonics, which are core elements of the curriculum. You’ll plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons that support literacy development and align with students’ learning needs and interests. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, assignments, and assessments, while using diverse instructional strategies to foster communication skills, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Teach phonics and literacy skills to support students’ reading, writing, and language development
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the individual needs, interest, and abilities of each student
• Develop and implement curriculum, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments
• Utilize a variety of instructional methods and performance-based assessments to promote creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth

Qualifications:

• Only accepting applicants who live in Central Standard Time (CST) or Eastern Standard Time (EST)
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in English or a related field
• Minimum 1 years in a formal teaching role (excluding substitute teaching) teaching English and phonic curriculum to K-6 students
• 1 year teaching online or virtually
• Available to work early mornings and Saturdays or Sundays
• Experience in creating and developing lesson plans and curriculum is a plus

Compensation:

$25 - $45 an hour based on experience and qualifications

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 01 – 25 per week
