Online Travel Portal Manager / OTA Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Online Travel Portal Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations, an online travel booking platform similar to Booking.com. The selected candidate will be responsible for platform management, vendor coordination, content accuracy, pricing control, booking operations, customer experience, and overall portal performance.

Key Responsibilities

Platform & Operations Management

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the online travel portal (hotels, tours, packages, transfers, and activities).
  • Ensure smooth functioning of the booking engine, availability calendars, pricing, and promotions.
  • Monitor system performance and coordinate with developers/tech support for issue resolution.

Vendor & Supplier Management

  • Onboard, manage, and maintain relationships with hotels, tour operators, and travel service providers.
  • Verify contracts, rates, availability, cancellation policies, and service descriptions.
  • Ensure vendors comply with platform standards and service-level agreements (SLAs).

Content & Listing Management

  • Oversee accurate listing of properties, tours, and travel services.
  • Review and update descriptions, images, amenities, itineraries, and policies.
  • Ensure SEO-friendly and customer-focused content across the platform.

Pricing & Revenue Control

  • Manage pricing structures, commissions, discounts, and promotional campaigns.
  • Monitor competitor pricing and market trends to remain competitive.
  • Optimize revenue through yield management and strategic offers.

Booking & Customer Support Oversight

  • Supervise booking confirmations, modifications, cancellations, and refunds.
  • Coordinate with customer support teams to ensure timely resolution of inquiries and complaints.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and positive user experience.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Track KPIs including bookings, conversion rates, revenue, cancellations, and customer feedback.
  • Prepare regular performance reports for management.
  • Recommend improvements based on data insights.

Marketing & Growth Support

  • Coordinate with digital marketing teams for campaigns, promotions, and seasonal offers.
  • Support email marketing, partner promotions, and platform visibility initiatives.
  • Assist in expanding inventory and new destination listings.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing an online travel agency (OTA), travel portal, or booking platform.
  • Strong understanding of travel industry operations (hotels, tours, packages, APIs).
  • Familiarity with booking engines, CMS platforms, and channel management systems.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and vendor negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make operational and pricing decisions.
  • Customer-service–oriented mindset with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with platforms similar to Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, or Airbnb.
  • Knowledge of travel APIs, payment gateways, and reservation systems.
  • Background in e-commerce, hospitality, or tourism management.
