Onsite Consultant

Compensation: $95,000-$105,000
Location: Must be based in either Omaha, NE; Dallas, TX; Atlanta, GA; Phoenix, AZ; Chicago IL, or Orlando, FL

The job:

As an Onsite Consultant at Buildertrend, you won’t just teach our customers how to use our software — you’ll show them how to transform the way they run their business. Traveling directly to job sites and offices across the country, you’ll work side-by-side with contractors to uncover what’s holding them back and build workflows that move them forward. Whether it’s streamlining project management or helping a team get their evenings back, your guidance will have a real, measurable impact on how construction teams operate. You’ll be part coach, part strategist, and a trusted expert they’ll remember long after you leave.

What you will do:

• Conduct discovery calls with potential and existing onsite clients to understand their goals, assess their needs, and recommend the best approach for implementing Buildertrend.

• Prepare customized consultation agendas in collaboration with customers prior to scheduled onsite visits.

• Travel approximately two times per month (usually 3–4 consecutive weekdays per trip) to deliver onsite consultations at customer offices or regional remote locations—leading group sessions and facilitating a two-day, best-fit implementation workshop tailored to the customer’s business structure.

• Define and establish measurable customer action items and produce a written SOP based on customer process after each consultation session.

• Conduct follow-up calls to review progress, maintain momentum, and use a tailored implementation plan to guide clients through their implementation goals and next steps.

• Identify opportunities to upsell additional a la carte consultation visits and subscription services, while collaborating closely with the Customer Success team.

Who you are and what you need:

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• Valid driver’s license required.

• Eligibility to maintain a passport to travel internationally (primarily to Canada) required.

• 2+ years of account management and/or coaching required.

• Experience implementing or supporting construction management platforms preferred.

• Ability to present yourself in a confident, polished, professional manner.

• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as public speaking skills.

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into practical, field-ready guidance.

• Maintain advanced critical thinking skills, specifically as it relates to how a contractor operates their business.
