Position Overview

This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of KVM-based virtualization infrastructure, including defining virtualization strategies, managing virtual machine deployments, and ensuring performance and security optimization. The position also plays an active role in troubleshooting, backup strategies, and technical documentation processes.

What You Will Do

• Install, manage, and optimize KVM-based virtualization platforms
• Actively manage Proxmox infrastructure with a strong understanding of virtualization components
• Create, configure, and maintain virtual machines
• Analyze server and storage architectures and implement appropriate solutions
• Monitor and optimize virtual machine performance
• Perform capacity monitoring and planning for managed platforms
• Manage backup and restore operations to ensure data security and continuity (preferably PBS)
• Take an active role in incident management and troubleshooting processes
• Improve operational efficiency by reducing repetitive tasks through automation and scripting
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation for all systems and operational processes

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with KVM-based virtualization platforms
• Experience with Proxmox is a strong plus
• Strong understanding of all components of virtualization platforms
• In-depth knowledge of server and storage architectures
• Good command of English, with the ability to work with technical documentation and international stakeholders
• Hands-on experience with backup and restore operations
• Strong troubleshooting skills with an analytical problem-solving mindset
• Strong attention to documentation and process management
• Advanced knowledge and practical experience with Linux systems
• Hands-on experience with automation and scripting
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player
