We are looking for hybrid-working Operating Model practitioner for our Global Business Excellence & Transformation (BE&T) team to support the delivery of high-quality operating model diagnostic, design and optimisation initiatives.

Role Purpose

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Operating Model Consultant to support our Business Excellence & Transformation team in its role leading JLL’s Global transformation agenda. This role requires working collaboratively with internal customers & stakeholders to diagnose, design, execute and lead teams through operating model initiatives of varying sizes and complexity. The successful candidate will join a high performing, global team with a charismatic leader and the ear of the Global Executive Board of a Fortune 500 business. The role is remote, with occasional travel to JLL’s offices across Greater China.

What this job involves

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with key stakeholders companywide to shape their vision and strategy, identifying high-level blockers that will act as design principles for a more in-depth operating model design review
  • Supporting and leading holistic operating model design diagnostics, identifying thematic operating improvement themes to support business case drafting and internal investment processes
  • Using operating model design methodologies and principles to form future-state people, process, technology, governance, and location strategies that deliver on business and functional objectives
  • Assisting business and functional leads in the delivery of the future-state operating model design
  • Building and maintaining ongoing relationships with internal customers and Business Excellence & Transformation team members
  • Coaching and guiding project team members, including the mentoring of junior employees and the contribution to our shared knowledge base

The Candidate

The successful candidate will combine the ability to lead multiple teams/workstreams with project management skills and prior experience designing and delivering operating model diagnostic and design.

The candidate needs a commercial mind-set, strong financial acumen and excellent listening and communication skills. A logical, structured approach to problem solving and common sense are key.

Experience

  • Strong professional experience, ideally with a top-tier consulting firm and/or with a firm with a well-established transformation agenda at a Senior Manager level
  • Proven track record in diagnosing business challenges, designing solutions and delivering results through the implementation of strategic and tactical operating model and/or organizational design change
  • Experience of multi-territory business transformation, including working across multiple jurisdictions to identify opportunities for process improvements including automation, technology enhancements, offshore migration and/or significant changes to location strategy
  • Understanding of or exposure to global real estate markets preferred but not essential

  • Project Management Skills: Knows how to effectively structure, staff and manage projects and teams to insure there is clarity of expectation, timely execution, corrective action when needed and successful outcomes.
  • Analytical Skills: Has a structured approach to problem solving with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics. Drives to fix the ultimate root causes to drive sustainable change.

Technical Skills

  • Confidence in running operating model diagnostic levers to build future state design and benefit models
  • Knowledge of operating model / organizational design theory and structures
  • A track record of building strong business cases and taking them through and investment approval process
  • An understanding of operating model change levers and their applications, such as automation, process excellence, operational excellence, location strategy, and organisation design
  • Commercially and financially astute, comfortable with reading and assessing a company P&L
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, including a strong ability using excel for benefit and business case modelling

Estimated compensation for this position:

160,000.00 – 180,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
