Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our company's operations, with a strong focus on inventory management, production and logistics. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient processes, effective resource allocation, and alignment with organizational goals, ensuring timely delivery and quality in every aspect of operations of a well-known sea food brand
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth functioning across inventory, production, and logistics.
- Develop, implement, and monitor operational strategies aligned with the company's objectives.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and statutory regulations.
- Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records to prevent stock shortages or overstocking.
- Implement systems to track inventory levels and streamline the inventory cycle.
- Collaborate with procurement to forecast inventory needs based on production schedules and sales trends.
- Cold room handling preferred.
- Production Oversight
- Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Optimize resource utilization, including manpower, machinery, and raw materials.
- Monitor production KPIs and implement continuous improvement measures.
- Logistics Coordination
- Oversee the planning and execution of inbound and outbound logistics operations.
- Establish and manage relationships with transport and warehousing partners.
- Ensure timely delivery to customers while minimizing logistics costs.
- Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and train teams to enhance operational efficiency.
- Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Resolve operational challenges promptly and effectively.
- Process Improvement
- Analyze operational workflows and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Leverage technology and tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Monitor industry trends to incorporate best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification in Operations/Logistics is preferred.
- Work Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in operations management, with a strong background in inventory, production, and logistics.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, retail, or supply chain environment is desirable.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. VLOOKUP, pivot tables etc ) is must.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Tally, or equivalent ERP systems) will be an added advantage
- Understanding of supply chain dynamics and lean manufacturing principles.
- Leadership and Management:
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Other Competencies:
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
