Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Officer to support our Operations Department. The role focuses on managing and coordinating daily activities across the livestock and agriculture sector (LS) supply chain, ensuring smooth operations from importation to final distribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and manage day-to-day operations across the livestock and agriculture sector (LS) supply chain.
  • Coordinate importation processes, including documentation, approvals, and shipment tracking.
  • Liaise with suppliers, farms, quarantine facilities, and transporters to ensure smooth handling of livestock and agricultural products.
  • Monitor handling, storage conditions, and welfare/quality standards in coordination with relevant teams.
  • Oversee logistics operations including transportation, delivery scheduling, and distribution.
  • Assist in procurement activities related to livestock, feed, agricultural inputs, and operational supplies.
  • Track inventory levels (livestock, agricultural products, and related materials) and ensure proper stock control.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, veterinary and agricultural requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records (import documents, health certificates, invoices, delivery notes, and reports).
  • Coordinate with internal teams (sales, finance, and operations) to ensure alignment and efficiency.
  • Identify operational challenges and proactively recommend solutions.
  • Support preparation of operational and performance reports.
  • Conduct site visits (farms, warehouses, and markets) to monitor operations and ensure quality standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in operations or logistics roles.
  • Must have experience in the Livestock and Agriculture Sector (LS).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driving license is required.
  • Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice periods will be given priority.
