Operation Theatre Assistant, Alwarpet, Chennai

• Prepare operation theatre before each surgery, including cleaning, layout and checking lights, tables and basic equipment.
• Arrange and set up instruments, linen, consumables and equipment trays as per the type of surgery.
• Assist in receiving, shifting and positioning patients safely on the operating table using correct techniques.
• Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures by passing instruments, handling suction, positioning equipment and maintaining the sterile field.
• Support the anaesthesia team with basic tasks such as positioning, connecting monitors, preparing IV stands and bringing required consumables (non‑drug).
• Maintain cleanliness, disinfection and sterilization of instruments, trolleys and OT surfaces after each case as per infection control policy.
• Segregate, handle and dispose biomedical waste as per hospital and statutory guidelines.
• Check, clean and store OT instruments and equipment; promptly report damage or malfunction.
• Monitor and maintain stock levels of consumables, linen and basic instruments; assist in indenting and stock records.
• Help in patient transfer to and from pre‑op, post‑op / recovery and wards as instructed by nursing staff.
• Maintain basic documentation/checklists related to OT cleaning, equipment checks and case-wise instrument usage as per hospital policy.
• Follow all safety protocols, including personal protective equipment (PPE), fire safety and emergency response within OT.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
