Overview

The Integration Operations Manager partners closely with the Branch Leadership and the GBS Integration Management Office to direct the day-to-day operation of the organization’s merger partner integration, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures. This senior-level role drives the implementation of established policies and procedures in the merger partner’s operations, ensures guidelines are adapted across newly acquired merger partner locations and departments, oversees training, and manages the rebranding process to ensure smooth assimilation and operational efficiency. Manages integration operations workflow to ensure priority items are resourced and successful. Audits current procedures and prepares related reports. Monitors efficiency of integration operations.


How you'll make an impact

Professional Standards
    • Support new merger partner operating in full compliance with Gallagher Standards of Excellence (GSE), Professional Standards, and company policies and procedures throughout all integration activities.
    • Ensures delivery of GSE training for merger partner associates to familiarize them with company expectations and practices.
    • DMS training coordination
Budget & Finance
    • Support Branch and Regional Operations Leaders, as well as Area Presidents, to assist new merger partners in transitioning to standardized GBS branch financial processes.
    • Oversee and manage the monthly tracking and reconciliation of merger partner revenue, including commission reporting.
      • Vendor comparison/reconciliation process (Gap analyses, Dependencies, etc.)


Human Resources
    • Support HR Partners in job mapping from merger partner’s job titles to Gallagher standards and reporting structure.
    • Provide Business Process Reorganization support
    • Escalate risk items, coordinate mitigation
    • Coordinate on Concierge and GCoE resource needs matters and deployment support


Integration Support (including IT, Operations and Administrative)
    • Serve as point-of-contact for integration-related questions and ensure an overall positive experience for:
      • New Merger Partners,
      • Legacy GBS Branch and Regional leaders
    • Identify, document, and drive to resolution any gaps that exist between merger partners’ current business practices and Gallagher Standards of Excellence (GSE). [Identify Most Important Integration Priorities (MIIPs) and any Risks / Actions / Issues // Dependencies / Decisions (RAIDD).]
    • Guide merger partner and confirm their ongoing understanding of the overall integration plan, including key milestones for each functional area and related dependencies.
    • Keep abreast of legacy GBS integration team engagement, ensuring collective team, including the merger partner, is progressing toward timely completion of all integration milestones.
    • Exercise judgment in escalating integration concerns to appropriate stakeholders, facilitate conversations as needed, and see the issue(s) through to resolution.
    • Facilitate IT support for merger partners. Escalate sensitive / recurring issues to regional IT.
    • Manage workflow to ensure priority items are resourced and successful.
    • Manage meeting logistics, etc.
    • Provide general Branch integration support and coordination for:
      • Area Presidents and AssuredPartners leadership
      • Branch Operations and Client Experience Leaders
      • Coordinate with Integration Management Office, Project Managers, and other Integration Teams


Development
    • Lead training initiatives and rebranding efforts to ensure timely adaptation to established practices, including completion of M&A-specific onboarding Journeys.
    • Drive the implementation of new operational policies and procedures within merger partners.
    • Provide guidance to the Integration Operations Coordinator/Analyst as needed to ensure their support aligns with and helps achieve or surpass integration targets and goals.
    • Supporting member of the Regional Strategic Planning Team.
    • Other duties as assigned by Regional Operations Leader.

Additional Information

This role will serve as a key point of contact for merger partners’ local and regional leadership. There will be multiple points of interaction: broader GBS and cross-Divisional Integration Management Office (IMO) teams, as well as local and regional GBS Operations and Shared Services teams. Integration Team members must be proactive and resourceful in connecting new merger partner colleagues with GBS specialists and general GBS policies, procedures, and other general information.



About You

Required:
  • University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or equivalent.
Desired:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Prior Health & Benefits Industry experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in operations management, preferably within mergers and acquisitions or integration environments.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Position requires strong multi-level relationship building skills, excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work towards team and individual goals
