Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Rockville, MD that is seeking an Operational Assistant. Responsibilities:

Assist with daily operational workflows and administrative tasks

Support order lifecycle management including quotes, order processing, shipment coordination, and invoicing

Track and prioritize operational tasks and project deliverables
-
Maintain documentation for business processes and operational procedures
-
Provide general office and administrative support as needed
-
Assist with invoice generation and tracking
-
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices
-
Support purchase order verification and financial record accuracy
-
Maintain financial data within internal systems such as QuickBooks or similar platforms
-
Help ensure accuracy in pricing, billing, and financial documentation
-
Assist with tracking inventory levels and conducting inventory audits
-
Coordinate shipment preparation and verify packing slips and order details
-
Support order staging and shipping logistics
-
Track incoming and outgoing shipments and maintain documentation
-
Communicate with customers regarding quotes, orders, and service requests
-
Provide updates on order status and assist with issue resolution
-
Maintain professional communication with clients and partners
-
Support customer follow-ups and service coordination
-
Maintain accurate records within spreadsheets, databases, and business systems
-
Assist with CRM or contact database updates
-
Perform data entry and maintain organized digital files and documentation
-
Support system troubleshooting and process improvements when needed
Requirements
-
1-3+ years of experience in operations, administrative support, office management, or a related role
-
Strong organizational and time management skills
-
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
