Operations and Maintenance Engineer

• Preferably Omani national

Core Responsibilities:-

1. Maintenance & Repairs:

• Perform routine and planned maintenance on machinery and systems to ensure optimal functionality.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Conduct repairs and replacements of equipment and components.

2. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan and reduce repair costs.
• Utilize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to prevent breakdowns.

3. Operations Oversight:

• Monitor equipment performance to ensure it runs optimally with minimal downtime.
• Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruption to operations.

4. Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate daily logs, records, and reports of all maintenance activities.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for maintenance activities.

5. Resource Management:

• Manage and maintain an inventory of necessary spare parts, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of parts and specialized components.

6. Training & Supervision:

• Train and supervise junior maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and efficient task execution.

Key Skills and Qualifications:-

• Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including the ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve complex equipment issues.
• Proactive Approach: A focus on preventing issues before they occur.
• Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members, technicians, vendors, and other departments.
• Leadership: Proven leadership skills to manage maintenance teams effectively.
• Safety Awareness: A high awareness of industrial safety hazards and the ability to implement safety measures.
