Operations and Maintenance Manager (Power plant experienced, Emiratization Job role)

Our client is one of the leading energy-based companies and is looking for an Operations and Maintenance Manager to join their team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and manage corrective and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of plant facilities.
• Develop, update, and implement Standard Job Instructions (SJIs) and maintenance procedures.
• Review and approve technical drawings/modifications and report changes to management.
• Manage relationships and agreements with OEMs, suppliers, and contractors for maintenance activities.
• Approve spare parts requisitions in MAXIMO and ensure critical spare parts availability to support operations.
• Oversee procurement activities including purchase requests, vendor evaluations, negotiations, and timely delivery of materials/services.
• Monitor and maintain inventory/stock levels to ensure accuracy and operational support.
• Plan and manage departmental manpower, training, and development to meet business needs.
• Prepare and monitor annual maintenance budgets, optimizing expenditures within set limits.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, review and issue work permits, and prepare monthly reports for management.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Must have a minimum of 10 years' working experience.
• Proven experience in maintenance operations in plant environments.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Proficiency in using maintenance tracking systems is a plus.
