Operations Business Controller

As an Operations Business Controller, you will lead financial strategy and performance management across Operations (Factory, Farm, Logistics, Procurement), ensuring cost optimization, investment discipline, and strong governance while developing a high-performing finance team.

As an Operations Business Controller, you will be doing the following activities:

1)Strategic Finance Partnership

Serve as the lead finance business partner to the Ops Director and functional heads (Factory, Farm, Logistics, Procurement).
Translate operational drivers (yields, mix, volumes, productivity, material variances, farm KPIs, logistics efficiency) into clear financial implications and recommendations.
Challenge and influence decision-making to optimize COGS, inventory, and CapEx returns.
Prepare and deliver concise performance narratives, dashboards, and steering committee materials.

2) Team Leadership & Development

Lead, coach, and develop a team of five budget controllers across two legal entities; set objectives, upskill in analytics/business partnering, and create a performance culture.
Streamline ways of working, standardize templates, and foster best-practice sharing across entities.

3) COGS Performance, Forecasting & Closing

Own the rolling forecast, annual budget, and monthly closing for COGS across materials, factory, farm, and logistics.
Drive root cause analysis of variances (PPV, usage/yield, conversion costs, labor, energy, farm costs, transport).
Ensure timely and accurate accruals, provisions, and cost allocations; safeguard the integrity of standard costs and BOMs in ERP.
Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Farm, and Procurement to deliver cost

About you

Bachelor's degree in Finance/Economics/Business/Accounting
8 to 10 years' experience
Experience in Managing teams
Experience in senior finance role
