The Opportunity:

Are you ready to play a key role in shaping communities and delivering dream homes? As an Operations Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our homebuilding operations—ensuring projects run smoothly, efficiently, and professionally. You’ll support field teams and collaborate across departments to keep construction timelines on track, budgets in check, manage utility orders, labor and material purchase orders, safety, management reports, invoicing, supplies, and/or permits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Field & Construction Support
    • Be the go-to resource for field teams, providing daily operational and administrative support.
    • Coordinate construction activities and communicate with trade partners to resolve issues and maintain build schedules.
    • Manage site setup logistics including trailers, safety gear, and signage.
  • Scheduling & Reporting
    • Maintain and update build schedules and milestone tracking using internal systems.
    • Prepare and distribute key reports and packages including Starts, NHOs, and field bonuses.
  • Utility Coordination
    • Order and track electrical/gas meters, temporary utilities, and lateral connections.
    • Monitor utility shutoffs to ensure smooth homeowner transitions post-closing.
  • Invoice & Purchase Order Management
    • Process vendor invoices accurately and on time.
    • Create and manage purchase orders, change orders, and check requests.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal teams.
  • Document & Records Management
    • Organize and maintain permits, inspection certificates, and lot files for compliance and audits.
    • Ensure accurate documentation in internal systems to support KPIs and legal requirements.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Take on other duties as assigned, contributing to a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
What You Bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Prior office experience required, including strong computer usage and typing
  • Homebuilding construction or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities and skill in developing professional relationships.
  • Action-oriented mindset and commitment to successful project completion.
  • Customer-focused approach in problem solving.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork-oriented, welcoming collaboration and different perspectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to drive/travel as needed
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs
  • Ability to observe details at close range and communicate information so others will understand
  • Ability to transport and move up to 20 lbs and move as needed (for roles in Construction/Customer Service/IT/Land/Marketing/Sales/Studio)
  • Periodically works in outdoor weather conditions (for roles in Construction/Customer Service/Land/Sales)
  • Position is located at the Division Office. #LI-onsite.
