Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Greeting Patients and Visitors: The receptionist is often the first point of contact, welcoming patients and providing necessary information and direction.
  • Managing Phone Calls: Handling incoming calls, directing them to appropriate departments, and addressing patient inquiries.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Organizing and scheduling patient appointments to ensure efficient use of hospital resources.
  • Patient Records Management: Accurately maintaining and updating patient records, including personal details and medical history.
  • Billing and Insurance Processing: Assisting patients with billing inquiries and processing insurance forms.
  • Providing Information: Offering information about hospital services, visiting hours, and patient status while adhering to confidentiality guidelines.
  • Liaising with Medical Staff: Coordinating with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate patient care.
  • General Administrative Duties: Performing clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry to support hospital operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to interact effectively and professionally with patients, doctors, and other staff members.
  • Strong Customer Service Skills: Compassionate and understanding approach to assist patients with inquiries and concerns.
  • Detail-Oriented: Accuracy in registering new patients, updating records, and managing appointment schedules.
  • Organizational Skills: Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic Knowledge of Medical Terminology: Understanding medical terms to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
