Key Responsibilities
- Greeting Patients and Visitors: The receptionist is often the first point of contact, welcoming patients and providing necessary information and direction.
- Managing Phone Calls: Handling incoming calls, directing them to appropriate departments, and addressing patient inquiries.
- Appointment Scheduling: Organizing and scheduling patient appointments to ensure efficient use of hospital resources.
- Patient Records Management: Accurately maintaining and updating patient records, including personal details and medical history.
- Billing and Insurance Processing: Assisting patients with billing inquiries and processing insurance forms.
- Providing Information: Offering information about hospital services, visiting hours, and patient status while adhering to confidentiality guidelines.
- Liaising with Medical Staff: Coordinating with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate patient care.
- General Administrative Duties: Performing clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry to support hospital operations.

- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to interact effectively and professionally with patients, doctors, and other staff members.
- Strong Customer Service Skills: Compassionate and understanding approach to assist patients with inquiries and concerns.

- Basic Knowledge of Medical Terminology: Understanding medical terms to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
