Job Scope and Responsibilities:

Manage vessel daily operations (vessel movements, documents etc).

Manage vessel risk management (pertaining to Bill of Ladings issuance and release, handling of cargoes etc).

Ensure a cost and time efficient voyage turnaround.

Ensure competitive port agency fees, ensure all receivables (Freight) and payables (Agency & Port Charges etc) are recorded and settled timely.

Access internal system to update vessels movements and operational matters regularly.

For shipments with claims e.g. demurrage, cargo shortage, commercial etc, assist the relevant departments to settle the claims.

Coordinate with ships and port agents for smooth entry to the ports, loading/unloading cargo, etc.

Check and handle ship/cargo documents in proper manner.

Assist in vessel insurance claims, demurrage, voyage reporting, financial planning, etc.

To submit monthly statistical reports (operating rate statistics, the flow of good statistics, demurrage, voyage reporting, financial planning, etc.).

Send vessel movements to brokers and/or charterers.

Review stowage plan and tank cleaning plans.
-
Operate in strict accordance with company’s operating procedures.

Improve ship efficiency and reduce operational risk.

Any other duties as may be assigned by the management.
Requirements:

Diploma / Degree in related studies, experience on chemical tanker operations is a plus.

Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
-
Able to communicate in English and it is a plus if able to communicate in other languages.

Must be able to 24hours standby cell phone and commit extra hours when needed.
