Job Purpose:
The Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of production operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, quality, and cost effectiveness. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day production activities, leading teams, and driving continuous improvement to meet customer and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage production operations, ensuring output meets established quality and delivery standards.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor daily operations, identifying and resolving issues that could affect production or safety.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, maintenance, and quality teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, safety, and process optimization.
  • Manage staffing levels, oversee training and development of operators, and support employee engagement.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output, scrap, downtime, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Develop budgets and monitor expenses to ensure cost-effective production.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing/production operations.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive results in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with production planning tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
