Operations Manager

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Operations Manager with a background in Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration to lead and optimize daily operations within our marine facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marine engineering processes and operational workflows, with excellent leadership skills and fluency in English.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee Daily Operations: Manage all aspects of marine operations including vessel maintenance, repair schedules, manpower allocation, and resource planning.
• Team Management: Lead and supervise technical and operational staff, including engineers, supervisors, and logistics personnel. Provide mentorship, training, and performance evaluations.
• Project Coordination: Plan, monitor, and execute operational projects, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Technical Oversight: Apply mechanical engineering knowledge to assess technical reports, resolve equipment issues, and support complex marine repair or maintenance tasks.
• Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and professional communication in English regarding project updates, timelines, and technical matters.
• Budget Management: Assist in operational budgeting and cost control, track KPIs, and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with suppliers, contractors, port authorities, and classification societies to ensure smooth operations and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration (marine industry experience preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in operations or project management within the marine or ship repair industry.
• Strong understanding of vessel systems, drydocking, logistics, and maritime safety regulations.
• Proven leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English – written and spoken – is essential.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
