Job Summary

The Operations Manager oversees day-to-day manufacturing and service operations across the Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth branches , including direct responsibility for managing manufacturing projects, overhead crane repair and maintenance jobs, coordinating field inspections, and supporting all other facets of the branches. This leadership role ensures effective execution of scheduled work, alignment of resources across branches, and delivery of high-quality service. The position plays a critical role in linking project planning, field personnel, shop operations, and customer expectations, ensuring that work is completed safely, accurately, and on time.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Own the daily execution of all projects and service work across both branches, including manufacturing, field service, in-shop repairs, equipment rentals, technician dispatching, and job tracking
  • Ensure effective job scheduling, technician utilization, and service backlog management
  • Drive communication between the service team, project managers, sales and customers to keep everyone aligned on priorities and customer expectations
  • Oversee the shop operation in both branches, including resource planning, parts flow, and job cost tracking
  • Track labor and material costs, approve timecards, and manage overtime
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, ensuring targets are met.
  • Coordinate with department heads to align operational goals with business strategy.
  • Be a go-to problem solver when site issues, delays, or customer escalations arise.
  • Reinforce a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and craftsmanship
  • Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to streamline operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise team of service and project coordinators, shop personnel, and field technicians, providing guidance and performance evaluations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports and present updates to senior leadership.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in operations, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and operations-related software (e.g., ERP systems).
