Operations Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Fairfield Inn & Suites in St. Charles. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences while managing key departments including Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Breakfast service. The ideal candidate is highly organized, team-oriented, and committed to maintaining brand standards and operational excellence, and develop innovative strategies to enhance efficiency and profitability. Your leadership will inspire teams, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure that our operational goals align with overall business objectives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all day-to-day hotel operations across multiple departments
  • Lead, train, and motivate department supervisors and team members
  • Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction by maintaining service quality standards
  • Monitor and improve operational efficiency, cleanliness, and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with department heads to optimize staffing, scheduling, and productivity
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and facilities
  • Step in to support operations as needed, including covering call-offs or staffing gaps across departments
  • Handle guest concerns and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Support budget management, cost control, and revenue optimization initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, company policies, and local regulations
  • Assist the General Manager with reporting, performance tracking, and strategic planning

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of hotel management or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Maintenance
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Marriott brand standards is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality service
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive performance results

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
