Remote Operations Manager / Lead Dispatcher – Towing Company
St. Louis / St. Charles Area (Remote Position)
Full-Time | $15–$22/hour (Based on Experience & Performance)

Position Overview

Plush Tow & Transport is seeking a Remote Operations Manager to oversee daily towing operations, dispatch, driver management, payroll coordination, and administrative functions.

This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for running the daily operation independently, ensuring jobs are handled efficiently, drivers are managed properly, and all revenue is captured.

This position requires prior experience, strong organization, and the ability to make decisions without constant supervision.

Key ResponsibilitiesDispatch & Operations

• Manage incoming calls and dispatch drivers in real time
• Assign jobs based on priority, location, and efficiency
• Monitor all active jobs from dispatch through completion
• Maintain communication with drivers and customers
• Ensure trucks are utilized efficiently with minimal downtime

Driver Management

• Supervise drivers and enforce company procedures
• Manage scheduling and shift coverage
• Handle hiring, onboarding, discipline, and termination
• Ensure drivers follow operational and documentation standards

Payroll & Administrative Duties

• Set up and maintain employee records in ADP
• Accurately track and log driver hours
• Ensure all employees are properly onboarded prior to working
• Maintain organized digital records and documentation

Billing & Revenue Oversight

• Ensure all jobs are properly documented and billed
• Capture all applicable charges (labor, wait time, equipment use, etc.)
• Communicate with motor clubs and submit required updates
• Monitor for missed revenue and correct issues proactively

Systems & Organization

• Maintain accurate, real-time tracking in Google Sheets
• Keep dispatch logs and operational records organized
• Provide daily operational updates to ownership

Work Environment

• This is a remote, work-from-home position
• You are expected to work independently without micromanagement
• You must remain responsive, organized, and in control of operations throughout your shift
• Performance is measured by results, accuracy, and consistency

Accountability & Expectations

This is a results-driven role with a high level of responsibility.

You are expected to stay focused, manage your time effectively, and maintain control of operations throughout your entire shift. Personal distractions or frequent interruptions during work hours are not acceptable.

Consistent performance, reliability, and attention to detail are required. Failure to meet expectations will result in corrective action, up to and including termination.

This role is best suited for someone who is self-disciplined, organized, and takes full ownership of their responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in towing, dispatch, logistics, or operations (required)
• Experience with ADP or similar payroll systems (preferred)
• Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable supervising employees and making personnel decisions

Performance Expectations

• Dispatch runs efficiently with minimal delays
• Drivers remain productive and follow procedures
• Payroll and time tracking are accurate and up to date
• Jobs are billed correctly with minimal missed charges
• Daily operations remain organized and under control

Compensation

• $15–$22/hour based on experience and performance
• Opportunity for performance-based increases and bonuses

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Consistent weekday schedule
