Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily logistics operations, ensuring efficient transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes. This role focuses on optimizing performance, managing teams, controlling costs, and ensuring high service standards while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end logistics operations including transportation, fleet management, warehousing, and distribution
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and service quality
  • Monitor KPIs such as delivery timelines, cost per shipment, and customer satisfaction
  • Manage and lead operations teams, including supervisors, drivers, and warehouse staff
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Optimize route planning and fleet utilization to reduce operational costs
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures
  • Handle operational issues, escalations, and problem resolution in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate operational records and generate reports for management

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes
  • Experience with logistics software, ERP systems, and fleet management tools
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience in GCC logistics operations is an advantage
  • Knowledge of local transport regulations and compliance standards preferred
