Job Summary
This is a pivotal leadership role within our nursery operations, responsible for strategic direction, commercial growth, operational excellence, and team leadership to ensure sustained success and profitability in a competitive horticultural market. Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage daily operations across multiple locations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Coordinate and direct the daily departmental workflow (sales, purchasing, production, shipping, and transportation) to ensure timely completion of responsibilities.

Assign duties to personnel to ensure efficient operation of departments.

Lead, mentor, and develop teams to enhance performance, accountability, and collaboration.

Support vendor and supplier negotiations to maintain competitive pricing.

Partner with the CFO on budgets, cost controls, and departmental reporting.

Monitor timesheets, labor productivity, and freight costs to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Identify and implement process improvements to maximize efficiency and profitability.

Oversee project management activities, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time and within scope.
Qualifications

Proven success in business development and multi-location operations oversight (nursery, horticulture, or agriculture industry a strong plus).

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

2+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or production management.

Technical proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, and project management tools.

Willingness to work extended hours and travel between nursery locations as needed.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
