Eco Mind is a serene, plant-based café and eco-conscious concept store located in the heart of Port de La Mer. We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented, and people-loving Operations Manager to oversee our daily café operations and ensure a smooth, high-vibe experience for guests and team members alike.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations
- Manage daily front-of-house and kitchen operations
- Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen, bar, and service teams
- Open/close the café and handle basic maintenance issues
- Reporting to management
Team Leadership
- Supervise, schedule, and support staff across departments
- Lead onboarding, training, and team development
- Monitor performance, resolve conflicts, and maintain a positive work culture
- Coordinate staff scheduling together with the chef to ensure optimal coverage
- Oversee salary distribution, attendance, and tip management
- Liaise with the company PRO and assist with hiring, visa renewals, and other HR-related processes
Customer Experience
- Uphold exceptional service standards and handle guest feedback
- Foster a warm, mindful, and welcoming café environment
Inventory & Vendor Management
- Oversee ordering and inventory of food, beverage, and eco products
- Maintain strong relationships with current suppliers and explore sustainable options
- Report to management
Concept Store Operations
- Oversee daily operations of the in-house eco concept store
- Ensure all products are correctly entered, priced, and updated in the system
- Maintain optimal stock levels and coordinate timely reorders
- Prepare monthly sales to suppliers and performance reports for the store section
- Communicate with product suppliers and manage deliveries
- Keep the store area organized, visually appealing, and aligned with Eco Mind’s aesthetic and values
Financial Oversight
- Track daily sales and expenses
- Prepare and submit financial reports in coordination with the accounting team
Hygiene & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to HACCP standards and food safety regulations
- Conduct regular cleanliness and hygiene checks
Event Support
- Coordinate café operations during in-house yoga events and external collaborations
- Help organize tastings, community activations, and seasonal events
Sustainability Practices
- Promote and uphold eco-friendly practices in packaging, waste, and sourcing
Systems & Tools
- Use Foodics POS system, WhatsApp Business, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs,
- Manage orders via platforms like Deliveroo, Noon and Careem
Marketing & Growth Support
- Assist in launching new menu items or product lines
- Collaborate with the marketing team on promotions and engagement strategies
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar café or restaurant management role
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Passion for healthy, plant-based food and eco-conscious living
- Fluent in English (other languages like Russian or Arabic are a plus)
- Calm, positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Tech-savvy with basic financial and reporting skills
